As you already know, West Sioux started their 2015-16 school year this past Wednesday. With this new school year came new devices for both students and teachers which were large improvements over what was implemented in the past. The 6-12 students went through a very welcome change from 2009 unibody MacBooks to 2015 MacBook Airs. This change saw many new possibilities in the 1:1 program as well as more durable hardware and faster systems. We recently talked to Laura Hensley about the A.L.I.C.E. training program. A.L.I.C.E. stands for, Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate. A.L.I.C.E. is also more commonly known as Run, Hide, and Fight for West Sioux students. The A.L.I.C.E. program originally came from Los Angeles, California where Laura Hensley and Ryan Kramer went to the training a couple of years ago.
