West Sioux invited John Vandenburgh, the creator of PLUS, to come back again this year and hold a summit with surrounding schools to see who might be interested in bringing PLUS to thier own schools. Fifteen years ago, Vandenburgh was a high school teacher who taught a study skills type class to help students pass their classes. These students had struggles in their everyday lives that was affecting their schoolwork. On Saturday, March 21st West Sioux held its annual Dance Night. In preparation for this night, the West Sioux Dance Team held a dance camp for girls in grades TK through 8th grade. The camp was held after school Wednesday through Friday. This year, a total of 102 girls signed up to participate. Kaylee Ann Schreiner is the daughter of Ivan and LeAnna Schreiner. Kaylee has two younger siblings named Danielle and Alyssa Schreiner. After high school, Kaylee plans on attending Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska. She plans to study secondary education with an emphasis in biology. Her goal is to become a biology teacher in a small town public school. Kaylee was involved in volleyball and the play during her freshman year.
