Beginning Word 2007 for Windows; Tuesday, September 21, and September 28; 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the high school; tuition--$20. Mary E. Schiefen, teacher.
If you have little or no experience with Word 2007, this class is for you. This two week class will cover creating a document, identifying the different tool bars, saving, closing a document, opening a document, editing, font, size, color, margins, bullets, enumerations, word art, clipart, spell check, aligning of text, bold, italics, underlining, textboxes and more. Detailed handouts will be given. Bring your questions.
Sew a Potholder, Wednesday, September 29; from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the high school; tuition--$10. Mary E. Schiefen, teacher.
Do you need potholders to match your décor? You can sew one on a sewing machine or serger in less than three minutes. Make several potholders for gifts and or for personal use. A supply list will be sent to enrollees.
Ten Minute Table Runner, Tuesday, October 5; 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the high school; tuition--$10. Sandy Kuiper, instructor.
This is a very quick project, designed to be used as a table runner, but it can also be used to decorate other flat surfaces (fireplace mantel, dresser, storage chests, etc.) All you need are to coordinated fabrics, 2 buttons, and a spool of thread. This table runner will add a decorator’s touch to your home. It will also make a great gift. Supply list will be sent to enrollees.
Learning to Operate a Cricut Machine, 2 nights, Tuesday, October 12 and October 19, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the high school; tuition--$20. Cathy Bushby, teacher.
Do you own the Cricut and feel intimidated by it? Haven't had it out of the box yet? Sign up for this class and become comfortable with the basic functions of your machine. You will go home and be motivated to cut! The main project for this class is designing and completing a t-shirt. Learn how to bond, cut and transfer images to a t-shirt. The ideas are limitless with this machine.
Decorating Cupcakes, one night, Wednesday, November 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at West Sioux High School. Mary M. Schiefen, instructor. Tuition--$10.
You will learn how to frost a cupcake as well as basic decorating for birthdays and holidays. This will be a fun and a yummy class. Your family and friends will enjoy your creations. Each individual will be contacted for the supplies needed.

If you have worked with Word and would like to know more, this class would be beneficial for you. This class will cover inserting pictures, cropping pictures, borders, shapes, drop caps, copying and moving text, tables, tabular lists, date and time, watermarks, page breaks, and mail merge. Detailed handouts will be given. Bring your questions.
