Ms. Kooima's Classes

Miss Kooima teaches Language Arts, Social Studies, Skills, and Reading at West Sioux. Her major goals teaching Language Arts is for students to become effective readers, writers, speakers, and listeners. To keep her students interested in the subjects she is teaching, they have hands-on projects and she tries to apply it to their lives. In her reading class they are reading Maniac Magee. In her Language Arts class they are working on 3 minute speech on any topic. In her Social Studies class they are currently working on Western Europe. Miss Kooima’s favorite subject to teach her students in her Skills class is giving students clues/hints on how to take tests.
