October 21, 2009

The introduction to Veterinary Science class is a one semester class that will cover basic principles of animal health and medicine. The class will entail a number of areas related to such things as animal anatomy, physiology, biological systems, minor surgery and diseases. Whenever possible, hands-on activities will be done either in the class or out on location. Guest speakers and pharmaceutical representatives will be available from time to time. This program is intended for the students that plan a career as a veterinarian, veterinary technical assistant, animal health sales, research or animal care field. It is recommended that students first take biology class to help with basics.
