West Sioux Awarded Iowa High School Project Grant

West Sioux was recently awarded the Iowa High School Project Grant by the Iowa Department of Education. The grant will fund training opportunities for the leadership team and other staff at West Sioux. The focus of the training will be on high school reform initiatives, with particular emphasis on developing a rigorous and relevant curriculum. The duration of the grant is three years.
Twenty high schools in the state of Iowa were awarded the competitive grant. West Sioux was awarded the grant based on the reform initiatives that have been implemented that focus on the academic success of all students. West Sioux is recognized as a "promising" high school with the potential of being a "model" high school for the nation.
